Since 2010, Openspaces Landscape Architecture Ltd. has served a broad range of clients, including government ministries, local authorities, developers, and architects.
Our work spans a wide spectrum of project types and scales: residential neighborhoods from master planning to detailed planning, public institutions, urban street revitalization, landscape planning for roads and interchanges, parks and gardens, and the conservation, restoration, and reclamation of natural open spaces.
Our firm specializes in roads and transport planning, taking an active part in Israel’s public transit revolution, including transformation of main streets in major cities, planning the upcoming Israel Metro project, expanding Israel's largest highway (Route 6), and more.

Landscape Architect - Ziv Cohen
Sculptor and Landscape Architect holding a degree in Landscape Architecture from UNSW, Sydney, Australia (2003).
Ziv specializes in environmental planning and sustainable development, alongside design and art, with in-depth knowledge of ecology, biology, agriculture, vegetation planning, and heritage, historical, and cultural landscape expression.
During his years working in the public sector, he advised and provided planning oversight for public bodies such as the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, the Jewish National Fund (KKL), municipalities, and local authorities.
Senior Partner
Landscape Architect - Efrat Shachar
Efrat holds a Landscape Architecture degree from the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion in Haifa, Israel (2005).
Alongside landscape design, she specializes in planning process management - which includes understanding client needs and implementing them across the various planning stages, integration of all planning disciplines, production of tender documents, and project oversight and delivery of a complete, finished product.
Efrat leads the firm's large-scale civil infrastructure projects at the regional and national level, managing major roads and large residential complexes for government and public bodies.
